It's every woman's day-mare: what to wear? Does my bum look big in this? Do I look fat? I've always maintained that there is a very fine line between a daring, sexy older woman and mutton dressed as lamb.
Millions of women go through this angst every day, particularly after they've flicked through the glossies and seen the glamorously turned out yet oh-so-casual-looking actresses and models inside. But that effortless look worn by the eternally slender Naomi Campbell or the petite but perfectly proportioned Kate Moss does not come easy.

I actually found this blog because I was looking for the latest images of Joan. I wanted to see what she looked like in her 70s. I was a teen when I first saw Joan in Dynasty and the first thing I noticed was her skin. Her age, 43. I am now 43 years old and remembered what she had said about not sun-baking (not bathing) and I took her words to heart because I found if I could something that simple, and not waste my time in the sun...well, skin is something we all have. Every time I think for a moment of aging, I look in the mirror and still see a mostly youthful looking face. So young that I have actually let my gray hair come in (no so keen on the chemicals they are using these days). I think society is afraid of aging and I decided to start now and just let it come, as I had remembered that both my mother and grandmother were completely white by the age of 50. It has served me well since I teach in a University in China. There is a beauty that can't be hidden when you love and accept yourself and can toss aside the glossy mags and possess a self confidence that men can't resist.
Joan modeled that for me as a teen. There is nothing wrong with being a strong sexual confident woman...who is beautiful inside and out. The word..."bitch' doesn't come to mind.
