Kick-off party for the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards gala

The Kick-off party for the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards gala was held at the future Sunnylands Welcome Center. This invitation only VIP cocktail reception for about 600 guests was held on March 10th. Guests could view the new visitors center exhibits and interactive multimedia kiosks along with the fabulous gardens and spectacular view of Mt. San Jacinto. Large Glass windows look out upon this wondrous view from the great room.

The new Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands is slated to open to visitors on 11-11-11. This was the perfect place to give the guests and supporters of DAP a preview of Saturdays Gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Co-hosts Jim Casey and Barbara Keller introduced some of the award winners in the audience. They gave a hint as to the upcoming gala on Sat. Hosts George Hamilton and Joan Collins were on hand to greet the guests and pose for photos.

David Brinkman told the guests a bit about Desert AIDS Project and the monies that have been raised, thanks to all those attending. A check for $225,000 was presented to Desert AIDS Project by Integrated Wealth Management.
